Index of East India Ship Incident Records: A to Z
c.1700 to c.1834

Dates are those of the 'incident(s)'.  Record Status gives guidance on the amount of data currently in the ISR record. An attempt has been made to clarify the National Register of Archive listings (NRA) for the ships recorded presence at a particular port during the voyage, however due to the format of some of the records, it is not always clear which date is applicable to a particular port.  Many vessels, over the period of the East India Company's existence, had the same name. The earliest vessel being number one and so on, the numbers refer to the NRA records. Anomalies are evident and are noted in the record if known. Some other merchantmen are recorded in Other Indiamen.
